On Friday June 3 La 2 of TVE premiered the documentary "¿Quién fue Pilar Miró?" a film written and directed by Diego Galán produced by Antonio Saura that makes a journey through the history of this essential figure in the culture of our time. This documentary is produced by TVE with the help of Zebra Producciones.
"¿Quién fue Pilar Miró?" chronicles the career of Pilar Miró, a film director, Film director general, director general of RTVE but above all was a woman, a creator, a manager and a mother who has both a reality and a question that achieved what few women of her generation in Spain.
This documentary takes the viewer into the life of the filmmaker through archival photos , film clips, Miró's own interventions and current interviews to people like Ana Belén, Gonzalo Miró, José Luis Olaizola, Aitana Sánchez Gijón, Emma Suarez, Javier Gurruchaga, Enrique Cerezo, Marisol Carniceso, Imanol Uribe and Owen Thomson, among others.
"Pilar Miró defined as anyone the creative struggle of women in Spain. It gives all possible complexities and circumstances which meant the long road to integration and acceptance of women in positions of creation and in places of power.
