Zebra Producciones, in partnership with Pausoka Entertainment, has begun filming its latest series, “Desagertuta/Desaparecido”, a thrilling drama guaranteed to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. The eight-part series, which will air on Primeran (EITB Media) and Netflix Spain, is being filmed entirely in Basque.
The storyline centres on the mysterious disappearance of Jon, a young man who vanishes after a night out in the mountains with his friends. His last trace is a disturbing video posted on social media just minutes before he disappeared, which quickly goes viral, leading to all manner of speculation. Is it a prank gone wrong, or has something more sinister occurred? As the episodes unfold, the secrets of his group of friends begin to surface, while the police investigation, led by Maite—a police officer and the mother of one of Jon’s friends—works to uncover what truly happened.
“Desagertuta/Desaparecido” stars rising talent Jon Lukas as Jon, alongside a gifted young cast including Ane Rot, Ainhoa Larrañaga, Asier Rikarte, Ainhoa Azpitarte, Unai Arana, and Julen Taboada. The series also features prominent Basque actors Itziar Atienza (Entrevías), Gorka Otxoa (Machos Alfa), and Jon Olivares (Patria).
The series is the brainchild of creators Xabi Zabaleta and Marta Grau Rafel, who have crafted a script packed with suspense and unexpected twists, with support from Jesica Aran. The series is directed by Estel Díaz (Bienvenidos al Edén T2) and Jabi Elortegui (Go!azen), with executive production by Xabi Zabaleta, Juliana Barrera, Itziar Zeberio, and Sara Fernández-Velasco.
