The documentary directed by Koldo San Sebastian is not a history film but a story that occurs in a certain time: 1920s and 1930s, and in a concrete environment, Euskady.
In this film, the traveler doesn’t look for great landscapes but personal stories and special events as the multitudinous tribute to the Spanish flag in Donostia, the inauguration of the monument to the Sacred Heart or a missionary procession in Las Arenas.
Also shows images of the festivals of Ondarroa and Lesaka, the spa of Zestoa, some old customs in Navarre Pyrenean or the visit of Don Niceto Alcala Zamora to Bergara and Oñate and historical moments as the first Aberri eguna celebrated in Bilbao in 1932 or the insurgents in the square of the Castle of Iruña in 1936.
Historian Alberto Santana gives the stories a different and fun tone. He manages to get the viewer to focus on some characters, helping you imagine General Arzadun and Miguel de Unamuno talking in shirt sleeves in a living room...
