Synopsis:
The National System of Children and Youth Orchestras of Venezuela, Prince of Asturias Award for the Arts in 2008, seeks to distance thousands of Venezuelan children and young people from ignorance and violence. A project of which the Spanish tenor Placido Domingo is an enthusiast, reason why he has put his voice to the narration of a documentary that analyzes this revolutionary method.
La tierra de las mil orquestas is a documentary about the history and achievements of a method that has formed music stars of international fame while it has taken thousands of Venezuelan children condemned to marginalization away from the street and away from violence and poverty.
